Here are some books by other authors that I have enjoyed. It's an eclectic selection, so there's something for most readers.*
*This list is fluid, and will be added to as more recommendations are discovered, or shared by my audience.

A fantastic resource, and I can say that the tensions in our household have diminished significantly since the family became fans of Brené (we all watched her Netflix talk, also recommended).
More from Helen Russell, and only available in paperback, but this is the book that really kicked off a year of learning in our house, and led to a number of other books you'll see on this list. Plus there's a lot of laughs included in Helen's journey through work, fitness, home, relationships, and more.
First of the Grant Wolves series and the rare Non-paranormal romance about shifters*. There are hearts involved, but there's more about family, friendship, and consequences.
*Not that I don't enjoy romance, but as an eclectic reader I appreciate a shift in tropes. **
**See what I did there?
Pratchett's Discworld novels are all a joy and a wonder, but it was Men at Arms that first got me invested in the life of Sam Vimes and the rest of the Watch, and really, as much as I appreciate Death and Moist and Tiffany Aching, it's always been the Watch for me.
Think Northern Exposure meets whodunnit, with a hint of Hemingway/London in the prose. There are a couple-three of the patented NR sex scenes, but for the non-romance readers, they are just a small part of a very enjoyable whole.
